IslamicOrigins.com is the blog of Joshua J. Little, a Research Fellow at the Department of Jewish, Christian, and Islamic Origins at the University of Groningen. He received an MPhil in Islamic Studies & History and a DPhil in Asian & Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford. His research focuses on the origins, transmission, and regionality of Hadith; proto-Sunnī Hadith criticism; modern methods of Hadith analysis, especially the isnad-cum-matn analysis; and the collection and canonisation of the Quran.
